Ever wondered how Spock and Jim Kirk get along so well, as best friends and loyal teammates on dangerous missions through the galaxy? They're both good men. They've both had hard pasts that tested them, and tried them in ways that few others could live so successfully through. But what about their childhoods?
In present day Star Trek, the original series, Spock and Kirk met as Captain Kirk's fill-in officer for Gary, Jim's original choice in first officer. Doubling as science and first officer, Spock grows close to Kirk, and throughout the series they save each together's lives and become closer than brothers. McCoy, Spock and Kirk were inseparable, even through the motion pictures and endings.
Well, this is where the deep-reaching, very first encounter happened (fanfiction) and where the brothers became acquaintances, friends, and much more. Please enjoy my rendition of the long passed-past and the far-reaching future.
